Chiropractic

I graduated in 1991 from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic, and have been busy at work ever since.

I enjoy treat all sorts of cases, but have a particular interest in improving function for the patient - things can always be better. Whether you are a builder struggling with climbing a ladder, a teacher on your feet all day giving you low back ache or sudden severe pain with digging in the garden or many other issues…. by improving the function you feel better.

This is even more keenly felt by top athletes. As a result I have worked with GB athletes in a number of fields, more recently I have spent a number of years working with world class Divers and Trampolinists. Which recently culminated in World Champion Trampolinist Bryony Page winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Yasmin Harper, and Jordan Holden from the local City of Sheffield Diving Club coming top 5 in the Olympic 3m Diving events and Yasmin getting Bronze in the 3m Synchro event.

I became interested in Chiropractic when working as an Analytical Computer Programmer, and competing on a local level as a Black Belt in Judo. When training I hurt my low back, and it was my dad who suggested I see a Chiropractor. Instead of going to the local Chiropractor I travelled from Reading down to Bournemouth to get assessed, diagnosed, and have treatment at the Anglo-European Chiropractic College. The treatment worked, my interest developed. I decided I wanted to be a Chiropractor, enrolled at the AECC and the rest is history.

We moved up to the Sheffield area in 1993 and loved it, so set up clinics and have been here ever since!

I also enjoy playing music and have been playing the Saxophone for a number of years in bands ranging from Two-Tone, Ska, and Reggae to Jazz.

Chiropractic

I graduated in 1993 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic as the valedictorian of my year. I am originally from Denmark, where I did one year at university before continuing my training for another 4 years in England. I have during my over 30 years of practice done a wealth of courses in rehab, extremity treatment, Graston technique, taping and the treatment of sports injuries. As a lot of people enter our clinics without a clear diagnosis, I especially enjoy the detective work involved in figuring out the diagnosis. What is actually going on?! Following that I treat using manipulative therapy, soft tissue work, taping and give rehab exercises. Sometimes though we may need x-rays/scans/referrals out of the house; I will take it all into consideration. To see me, book an appoint at Infirmary Road Chiropractic Clinic. When not in clinic, I love walking the hills in the Peaks with my dogs, playing music and throwing clay around! ;-).

Chiropractic

I graduated from London south bank university with a Master’s degree in Chiropractic and am proud to have begun my career at BackActive chiropractic. Originally from Doncaster, I have always been passionate about helping people improve their health, mobility, and quality of life.

My journey into chiropractic started at the age of 10 when I first received chiropractic care myself. Experiencing the positive impact it had on my own wellbeing inspired me to pursue it as a career and that passion has only continued to grow.

I enjoy treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds. I believe every patient is unique, so I tailor treatment plans to suit each individual’s needs, goals, and lifestyle. My approach combines hands-on care with the latest evidence-based practice to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and achieve long-term health outcomes.

I use a variety of treatment techniques, including spinal manipulation and mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises and personalised advice on posture, movement and self-management. My aim is not only to relieve symptoms but to help my patients achieve their full potential and quality of life.

Building strong relationships with my patients is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a chiropractor. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel listened to, understood and involved in their care every step of the way.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending live music events, going on long walks with my dog and exploring the outdoors.
